Writing Center Workshop Informational Prep
Thank you for your interest in helping us foster the kind of reciprocal relationship between the Writing Center and the SSU professoriate we here at the Writing Center strive for. We aim to integrate instruction and peer mentoring, and students as a whole consider it an overwhelmingly positive experience. Please use the form linked below to request a Writing Center Workshop.
We do have a limited number of spaces/staffing for workshops. Please contact Sakina Bryant, the Writing Center Faculty Director, if you'd like to discuss future workshops or have questions.
Workshops are designed to support specific papers or projects, with several tutors on hand to guide the students through various stages of the paper/project through Zoom breakout sessions. Most workshops are between one to two hours in length. Once we receive your request, we will work with you to designate the components of the workshop so that it is tailored to your students' needs. Please note, we require at least three weeks notice for any workshop requests. This allows us time to solicit volunteers for the workshops, and prepare workshop ideas and activities with our staff.
