Do you offer drop-in tutoring?

How do I use drop-in tutoring services?

Using our drop-in services is easy! Always double-check the location as some drop-in tutoring happens outside the LARC (computer science and econ, for example). You can drop in any time during drop-in hours, and stay as long as you need/like. 

If you come to the LARC for drop-in math, you will need to check in at the front desk when you arrive, and then check-out when you leave. It helps our desk staff if you set up an account in WC Online first, which you can do by clicking on the purple LARC-WC Online tile in your Student Portal.

For drop-in tutoring in other locations, check in with the tutor when you arrive!

Is there a limit to how much drop-in I can use?

No, there are no limits to how much you use drop-in tutoring services!

Can I use drop-in math for classes that aren't math classes?

Yes! We have had students come in to work on homework for computer science, economics, business, physics, chemistry, and more. If you are working on something that has math in it, you can bring it to drop-in math tutoring.

Will a tutor help me the whole time I am at drop-in?

Generally no, though this may vary by course. During most drop-in sessions, tutors will rotate between students. They are there to help you as you need it as you work through your assignment. If you need additional/more focused support, we highly recommend making an appointment with a tutor for one-on-one tutoring through our subject-specific Tutorial Program.
