Writing Tutor; Social Media Coordinator
Hi! My name is August (pronouns: he/him) and I'm a fourth year English major with a concentration in Literature. I transferred to Sonoma State in the Fall of 2023 from a community college in my hometown where I also worked as a tutor! I'm here to help you brainstorm, plan and compose essays, dissect complicated texts, and more. One of my favorite parts about tutoring writing is helping others find their voice and style as they continue to develop their critical thinking skills and explore topics that matter to them! I especially love tutoring for grad school applications, scholarship essays, and narrative or academic essays that reflect personal stories, values, and accomplishments. I've only recently grown to love writing, but I've always been a huge reader! I read so much when I was young that my parents used to ground me by taking away my books!
