Hi! My name is Sam M. and I'm now entering my senior year at SSU. I am majoring in applied mathematics and statistics, as well as minoring in physics. I am a nontraditional student, having worked straight out of high school including 3 years in the US Army. Since then, I've rediscovered my passion for math and earned my associate's degree, though not necessarily in that order! This Fall, I am looking forward to being an embedded tutor in MATH 131A and getting the chance to help students understand finite math in and out of the classroom. If you are struggling, please don't hesitate to set up an appointment or talk to me in class! In my free time, I like to read books, watch movies, play video games, and go for long hikes.
